The council welcomes into its ranks Paul Fisher, who received both
First and Second Degrees on June 19 at Flaherty Council in Glenside, PA. The degrees were held in honor of Pope
Benedict XVI. Pictured are Paul Fisher along with hosting member Ed

Council Hosts Bingo at VA Medical Center - June 10, 2008
Several members of the council
traveled to the Coatesville VA Medical Center on Tues., June 10 and
hosted Bingo for the residents there. Refreshments were served to
attendees, and prizes were awarded to the winners. Pictured participating in the
service project are (l to r) Bill Ristey, Pat Baker, Joe Layden, Joe
Monte, and Brian Downey, with Jacquelyn, who works at the facility.
Council Members Work on Habitat for Humanity Project - May 31, 2008
Several members of the council worked on a
Habitat for Humanity project in Pottstown on Saturday, May 31.
Activities included preparing drywall for painting, general cleaning,
installation of exterior brickmold, and carpentry on stairs.
Pictured working on drywall are (l to r) Bill Ristey, Pat from HfH, Bill
Longua, and Tony Cucchi. Also participating in the work activities were
Frank Yanni and his son-in-law. Special recognition goes to
Bill Ristey for organizing this activity.
Council Knight Advances to
Fourth Degree - May 25, 2008
In an
exemplification held at the Dolce Hotel in King of Prussia, PA on May
25, council member Donald Smith advanced to the Fourth Degree. This
highest degree of the order focuses on the ideal
of patriotism.
Council Hosts Emerald Evening
- March 15, 2008
A
celebration of "all things Irish" was hosted at St. Isaac
Jogues Parish Hall on Saturday, March 15 at 6 pm. Musical entertainment
was provided by The Kennedys, a family band that played a variety
of favorites. A catered dinner was also enjoyed by the 90 attendees.
Basket of Cheer and 50/50 raffles added to the excitement. Special entertainment
featured an Irish step dancing revue performed by a young troupe from
the Cara School of Irish Dance. Attendees also enjoyed dancing to their
requests.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit
St. Isaac Jogues Parish.
Crab Cake Sale a Success
- March 7, 2008
The
council's first ever crab cake sale wrapped up with customer pick-ups on
Friday, March 7. The sale proved very popular with parishioners, with
over 400 crab cakes sold. Capt'n Chucky's Crab Cake Company, a popular
regional vendor, made the delicacies for the council. Pictured setting
up for customer pick-up are (l to r): Tony Cucchi, Brian Downey, Terry
Cucchi and Jack Marchiano. The council recognizes Jack Marchiano and Joe
Powers for organizing this fundraiser.

The council welcomes into its ranks William D. McCann, who received both
First and Second Degrees on February 10th at Rev. William Fenerty
Council 7208 in Downingtown, PA. The degrees were held in honor of Pope
Benedict XVI. Pictured are Will McCann with his father Bill.
Potluck Dinner Hosted by Council - January 19, 2008
Members
of the council and their families enjoyed a potluck dinner in the Parish
Hall on Jan. 19 after the 5pm Mass. A wide variety of appetizers, entrees, side dishes,
salads, and desserts were shared by all present. Grand Knight Joe Monte
thanked all of the approximately 40 attendees for the delicious cuisine
they brought. Special thanks goes to John Castaldi for organizing the
event. Pictured attending the dinner are Anthony Perretta with his
younger son Will.
Knight of the Year Award - January 16, 2008
Brian Downey was presented with the 2007 Knight of the Year Award at
the council meeting on Jan. 16. Brian was
recognized for his work on behalf of the council since its inception.
Presenting the award, Joe Monte made special note of Brian's work behind
the scenes for the council.
Council Conducts Free Throw Championship
- January 12, 2008
The council's
2008 Free Throw Championship was held at St. Norbert's Gym on Saturday morning, Jan. 12.
Five youths from St. Isaac Jogues parish captured the local titles in
their respective divisions. These winners advance to district level
competition, which is followed by regional, state and international
competitions. Nationwide, about 200,000 youths ages 10-14 participate in the
championship. The council recognizes Dave Hobson and Mike Harkness
(seated in photo) for coordinating the
event.
