The council welcomes into its ranks three new members who received both
First and Second Degrees on December 11th at St. Cornelius Council in
Chadds Ford, PA. Pictured from left are Grand Knight Joe Monte with new

Council Knights Advance to Third Degree
- Dec. 10, 2006
Three members of the council received
their Third Degree in an exemplification held at Mater Dei Council in
Newtown Square, PA on Dec. 10, 2006. Dave Hobson, Anthony Perretta, and
Bill Ristey advanced to this degree, which is focused on fraternity.
Council Assists at Breakfast with Santa - Dec. 9, 2006
The
annual Breakfast with Santa parish event was a tremendous success
again this year, with over 200 parishioners and other guests enjoying
the cuisine, and many of the younger members of the parish getting an
opportunity to visit with Santa. The council assisted with guest
check-in, food service, raffle sales, photography services, and
clean-up. Special thanks goes to Jack Marchiano for coordinating council
assistance with Parish Services. Pictured are Mark and Eileen Watson's
sons Joshua and Blaise with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
St. Isaac's Hayride Party Hosted By Council
- Nov. 18, 2006
Over
100 parishioners and other guests and their families joined in the
festivities at St. Isaac's Hayride Party held Sat. evening, Nov. 18 on
the grounds behind the Parish Hall. Activities included hayrides around
the parish campus and adjoining areas, and roasting marsh-mallows around
several campfires. Live ragtime and jazz piano music added to the novel
setting.
Aquilante Catering provided chili, hot dogs and hot cocoa for

Council Hosts Altar Servers Recognition Event
- Nov. 12, 2006
The altar servers of St. Isaac Jogues
Parish were recognized for their dedicated service at a
special event
hosted by the council during 10:30 Mass. Award certificates and gifts were given to the altar servers,
followed by a special blessing given by Council Chaplain Fr. Paschal Onunwa.
Dr. Linda Copel was also
recognized for her work in training and scheduling the altar servers.
A Parish Coffee was hosted by the council after Mass in
celebration and appreciation of the altar servers.
Council Assists at Special Olympics - Nov. 4, 2006
The council
assisted on Saturday morning, Nov. 4th, at the Pennsylvania Special
Olympics held at Villanova University. Volunteer activities included
staffing the cafeterias, organizing donated food for lunch for the
Olympians, and spotting/cheering at the powerlifting competition. Pictured from left, front row: John Manza, Tony Cucchi, Anthony Perretta, Ed Toney. Rear row: Kevin Horan,

Welcome to our New Member

The council welcomes into its ranks Thomas Walsh, who transferred from
St. Peter Council 6735 in Merchantville, NJ.
Staffing Provided for Don Guanella Fair - Sept. 16, 2006
The council provided staffing for a
games booth at the Don Guanella Fair on Sat. after-noon, Sept. 16th. The
fair is a fundraising activity for
Don
Guanella Village, a residence for boys with developmental
challenges. This event also provides an opportunity for the residents to
enjoy a variety of activities in a recreational setting. Special
recognition goes to Bill Ristey and Jack Marchiano for coordinating this
project.
Council Hosts Blue Mass - Sept. 10, 2006
A
Blue Mass was hosted by the council at St. Isaac Jogues Church on
Sunday, September 10 to honor the work of public safety personnel
including police, firefighters, and EMS personnel. The Mass was
celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Robert Maginnis, who expressed appreciation to the
honorees for the ways in which they touch the lives of others in the
community. Grand Knight Joseph Monte offered concluding remarks
expressing the thanks of the community for all that the honorees do to
give a sense of security to residents of the area. The Mass was followed

Book Drive Conducted for Troops Overseas - August 7, 2006
The
council conducted a paperback book drive in July for US Troops stationed
in Iraq and Afghanistan. About 2,100 books were sorted and packed for
shipment overseas. In addition, the council collected $433 to help with
shipping costs and to purchase prayer books for the troops. Pictured
helping with the sorting and packing are Ed Sweeney, Ed Toney, Fr.
Paschal Onunwa, Jack Marchiano, Brian Downey, and Joe Monte. Also
helping were Patrick and Mary Ann McCann. Special recognition goes to Ed
Sweeney and Jack Marchiano for coordinating this project.
Council
Summer Social Event - August 2, 2006
Brother
Knight Anthony Aquilante hosted the council at his residence for an
evening get-together on August 2. Numerous members and their families
joined in the party, which included a festive dinner and the opportunity
for attendees to chat and mingle. The council wishes to express its
appreciation to Anthony for his generosity in hosting the gathering.
Officers and Directors Chosen for New Fraternal Year - July 9, 2006
The council held elections on June 14,
2006 for officers for the new fraternal year
of
July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007. In addition, service
program directors for the new fraternal year were also identified.
