Blood Drive
Conducted - June 16, 2006
The St. Isaac Jogues Annual Blood Drive was held on June 16
in the parish
hall.
The event was sponsored by the council, which provided planning,
publicity, scheduling, sign-in and hospitality services. A total of 33
individuals donated in the drive. The council expresses its thanks to all who donated, and all who worked
to make the event a success. Special recognition goes to Frank Yanni and Anthony Perretta (pictured, left to right) for organizing this effort.
Council Knights Advance to
Fourth Degree - May 28, 2006
Seven
members of the council received their Fourth Degree in an
exemplification held at the Hilton Hotel in King of Prussia, PA on May
28, 2006. Paul Adack, John Corr, Anthony Cucchi, Brian Downey, Jack
Johnson, Joseph Powers, and Mark Watson advanced to this highest degree of the
order, known as the patriotic degree.
Arc Fundraising Campaign Completed - May 6, 2006
The council completed a fundraising campaign for The Arc, a national
organization devoted to promoting and improving support and services
for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their
families. A total of $215 was raised to assist the organization in its
efforts. Participating in the campaign were Patrick Baker, Anthony Cucchi, Joseph Layden, and William Ristey.
Council Members Work on Habitat for Humanity Projects - April
15, 2006
Eight members of the council worked on two
Habitat for Humanity projects in Pottstown on Saturday, April 15.
Activities included interior carpentry, trim work and caulking.
Participating in the work activities were Patrick Baker, Jeremy
Blackburn, Anthony Cucchi, Joseph Layden, Jack Marchiano, Anthony
Perretta, William Ristey and Edward Toney. Special recognition goes to
Jack Marchiano and William Ristey for organizing this activity.

Welcome to our New Member - March 29, 2006
The council welcomes into its ranks Daniel Hoffman, who transferred from
St. Ignatius Council 9729 in Harford County, Maryland.
Council Hosts St. Patrick's Party - March 18, 2006
140
parishioners and other guests celebrated "all things Irish" at the
first St. Patrick's event hosted by the council. Musical entertainment
was provided by Blarney, an Irish duo who performed ballads,
folk, and traditional works. A catered dinner was enjoyed by
attendees. Numerous raffles on a range of items, such as 4 Phillies box
seat tickets, and an Irish Basket of Cheer, were conducted throughout the event. Special entertainment
featured a young troupe of step dancers directed by Laurie Luebbers,
performing a number of dances with acrobatic and graceful footwork.

Welcome to our New Member - Feb. 20, 2006
The council welcomes into its ranks Geoffrey Meyer, who received both
First and Second Degrees on Feb. 20 at St. Cornelius Council in Chadds
Ford.
Local Free Throw Champion Advances to Regionals - Feb. 4, 2006
The
Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship
was conducted at the district level on Sat. Feb. 4, 2006 at St.
Norbert's gym in Paoli. Local council champion Jacqueline Blackburn
(pictured, left rear) captured the district title in her division. We
wish her continued success as she advances to regional competition on

Knights of the Year Awards - Jan. 14, 2006
Two
members of the council were given 2005 Knight of the Year Awards at
the potluck dinner on Jan. 14. Jack Marchiano and Joseph Monte were
recognized for their exemplary service to Church, community, council,
family and youth. In presenting the awards, Patrick Baker cited several
examples of the outstanding service of these two men, giving particular
note to their work in making the
lasagna dinner of April 23, 2005 a
tremendous early success of the council. Pictured are Sydney Monte, Rita

Potluck Dinner Hosted by Council - Jan. 14, 2006
Members
of the council and their families enjoyed a potluck dinner in the Parish
Hall on Jan. 14. A wide variety of appetizers, entrees, side dishes,
salads, and desserts were shared by all present. Msgr. Cunningham and Fr.
Paschal joined in the festivities, which included the presentation of
"Knight of the Year" awards to Jack Marchiano and Joseph Monte by
Patrick Baker.
Council Conducts Free Throw Championship
- Jan. 14, 2006
The council's
2006 Free Throw Championship was held at St.Nor-
bert's Gym on Jan. 14.
Three youths from St. Isaac Jogues parish captured the local titles in
their respective divisions: Madeline Iffert, Delaney Massaro, and
Jacqueline Blackburn. These winners advance to district level
competition, which is followed by regional, state and international
competitions. Last year 199,426 youth ages 10-14 participated in the
championship. The council recognizes Jack Marchiano for coordinating the
event at the local level.

The council welcomes into its ranks Paul Ditton, who received both
First and Second Degrees on Jan. 9 at St. Cornelius Parish in Chadds
Ford. Current member David Hobson received his Second Degree at that
